    SIGNING UP/ SIGN UP

  • How do I sign up for an EyesUP account?
  • Simply download the EyesUp app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and follow these three simple steps:

    1. Wait for the 4-digit code to be sent to you via SMS or via phone call. Once received, the One-Time Password (OTP) will auto-fill and complete your registration. Make sure you have a strong mobile network connection so you receive your OTP on time.

    2. Provide your first and last name together with your phone number for identity verification.

    3. Set a password (the stronger, the better!) to protect your account and choose your unique EyesUP ID.

    And there you go! Once you’re in, you can start sharing and collecting moments with your friends!

  • Help! I didn't receive any verification. What should I do?
  • Check your network connection and make sure you have a signal. You can also click resend and change the mode of reception: if you previously chose via SMS, you can try via phone call and vice versa. Wait for the verification message or call and you’re good to go!

    PROFILE

  • How do I edit my profile?
  • 1. Tap on the lower right part of your screen.

    2. Tap View My Profile. Here, you can change your profile and cover photo, and edit your first and last name by tapping the Edit Profile icon on the upper right of your screen.

    *Please remember that you can only change your EyesUP ID once.

    3. Don’t forget to save your changes!

  • How do I add or change my profile photo?
    1. Go to the Settings page by tapping found at the bottom right of your EyesUP app.

    2. Choose View My Profile and click on your Profile Photo.

    3. In the options, you may choose to take a photo with your camera or upload a photo from your Album.

  • How do I delete my profile photo?
    1. Go to the Settings page  by tapping found at the bottom right of your EyesUP app.

    2. Choose View My Profile and click on your Profile Photo.

    3. In the options, you may click “Remove profile picture.”

  • What is the maximum file size for the profile photo?
  • The maximum file size is 5mb.

  • Why can’t I upload my profile photo?
  • Check your internet connection.

    Update your app: Make sure that you are using the latest version of the EyesUP app.

    Reached the maximum file size: Minimize the file size of your photo or you may choose another photo that fits the file size (5mb).

     

  • How do I add or change my cover photo?
    1. Go to the Settings page by tapping found at the bottom right of your EyesUP app.

    2. Choose View My Profile and click on your Cover Photo.

    3. In the options, you may choose to take a photo with your camera or upload a photo from your album.

  • How do I delete my cover photo?
    1. Go to the Settings page by tapping found at the bottom right of your EyesUP app.

    2. Choose View My Profile and click on your Cover Photo.

    3. In the options, you may click Remove cover photo.

  • What is the maximum file size for the cover photo?
  • The maximum file size is 5mb.

  • Why can’t I upload my cover photo?

    FRIENDS

  • How can I gain friends?
  • You can gain friends when you add an EyesUP user and they follow you back.

  • How can I gain followers?
  • You can gain followers when an EyesUP user follows your account. They will only become your friend once you follow them back.

  • Who are on my friend's list?
  • People on your friend's list are users who you followed and followed you back.

  • Who are on my follower's list?
  • People on your follower's list are users who you followed or followed you.

  • How can I unfriend someone from my friend’s list?
  • You can only unfriend a user if both you and the person that you followed, unfollow each other.

  • How can I remove or block someone from my follower’s list?
    1. Go to the Settings page by tapping found at the bottom right of your EyesUP app.

    2. Choose Following and click on   ellipsis.png

    3. In the “User options,” choose “Block” or “Remove”.

  • How do I search/add friends?
  • There are many ways to add your friends! Upon registration, you can invite your friends from your mobile contact list via SMS after giving EyesUP permission to access your contact list.

     

    How to add your friends from the Search Bar?

    1. Click Search at the top screen of your EyesUP app.

    2. Type your friend’s name on the Search Bar.

    3. Click on the name of your friend then, tap Follow.

     

    *You can also add friends through the Suggested Section/Page.

     

    How to add your friends via QR Code?

    1. Go to the Settings page by tapping the Gear icon found at the bottom right of your EyesUP app.

    2. Open your QR Code “(logo of the QR code)” at the top right screen of your app.

    3. Scan your friend’s QR code and you’ll be redirected to that person’s profile. Simply tap Follow to add your friend!

     

    How to add your friends from your phone’s contact list?

    1. Go to your Friends page. Tap Add Friend icon at the bottom right of your EyesUP app.

    2. Click on Search Mobile Contacts found at the upper right corner of your app.

    3. It will show your EyesUP friends on your contact list. Click the name of your friend then, tap Follow.

  • How can I invite friends?
  • You can add your friends by inviting them. Simply tap on the Invite button next to their name to send them an invite via SMS.

  • Where can I find my Friends list?
  • Go to the Friends page next to the Messages. You will see a list of all your friends, your active friends, and suggested friends. You may also see your Friends in your profile.

  • Why are the people I follow don’t appear on my Friends list?
  • To be considered Friends, two people should be following each other. If you’re following a person and they don't follow you back, you will only appear on their Followers list and not on their Friends list.

  • Where can I find the list of people I follow?
  • Tap gear.png on the lower right of your screen then tap Following. This will show you the people you follow but haven’t followed you back yet.

  • How do I report a user?
  • If you find a user’s actions, posts, and messages offensive, you can report them by going to their profile. Tap the icon on the upper right then, choose “Report User”. Select the reason why you’re reporting the user and then click “Report”.

  • How do I block someone?
  • Go to the User’s profile that you want to block. Tap  on the upper right, and choose Block User.

  • What happens when I block someone?
  • You will no longer see the user’s profile, posts, and previous message history. The user’s comments, posts you were tagged in, and posts you shared on your profile will no longer be available.

     

    However, you can still see the user’s previous messages on your Group Chat. Similarly, the blocked user will no longer see your profile, posts, messages, and he or she can no longer contact you through the app.

     

  • How do I unblock people?
    1. Go to your Account Settings to see the list of users you blocked.

    2. Click “Unblock” to unblock a user.

    Remember: When you unblock a user, all posts that were previously removed will be restored, and your previous message history will reappear on the Greetings Section. This means that once unblocked, you and the user are no longer friends unless you follow each other again.

     

  • How to add your friends from the Search Bar?
    1. Click Search at the top screen of your EyesUP app.

    2. Type your friend’s name on the Search Bar.

    3. Click on the name of your friend then, tap Follow.

  • How to add your friends via QR Code?
    1. Go to the Settings page by tapping gear.png found at the bottom right of your EyesUP app.

    2. Open your QR Code at the top right screen of your app.

    3. Scan your friend’s QR code and you’ll be redirected to that person’s profile. Simply tap Follow to add your friend!

  • How to add your friends from your phone’s contact list?
    1. Go to your Friends page. Tap at the bottom right of your EyesUP app.

    2. Click on Search Mobile Contacts found at the upper right corner of your app.

    3. It will show your EyesUP friends on your contact list. Click the name of your friend then, tap Follow.

    POSTS

  • How do I post?
    1. Go to Board, then click the upper right button.

    2. You may write something, post a photo, post a video, tag your friends, tag a location, and share it to your friends or to the public.

    3. After creating your post, you can hit “Post.”

    * You can only choose up to four photos and a maximum of one minute per video.

     

  • How do I tag someone in my post?
    1. Go to Board, then click the upper right button.

    2. After making your post, you may tag your friend by choosing “People.” Search your friend and add them up. Remember that you can only tag up to 50 friends to your post.

    3. Click “Done” then “Post.”

  • How do I use hashtags?
  • You can use hashtags by typing the “#” symbol found on your phone or keyboard, then typing what you want to say. Don’t forget to be creative and quirky with your hashtags! Remember that hashtags make your post more visible and easier to search. 

  • How do I copy a text from a post?
  • Choose the post you want to copy then long press the text. A message will then pop up from the bottom. Choose “Copy.”

  • What can I post on my profile?
  • You can upload a maximum of four photos or a five-minute video per post. You can tag your friends, mention them, and tag a location. The caption box is where you can mention your friends or put hashtags to be discovered by other users around the world. Remember that there is a 1,000-character limit for the caption and comments. Hashtags are allowed in the comments too!

  • Why can’t I publish posts on my profile?
  • A post must have either a photo or a video. Ensure that your photos or video were uploaded successfully.

  • What posts appear on the Board?
  • Every EyesUP user has two news feeds, the Board and the Discover feed. Your Board shows the activities and private posts of your friends and the public posts of the people you follow in a timeline-based way, which means the latest posts are shown on top.

  • What posts appear on Discover?
  • The Discover feed shows the most popular posts around the world. If your public post gets many comments, likes, and shares, it has a high chance of appearing on the Discover feed for all EyesUP users to see. Here, you can find and connect with people who share your interests.

  • How can I control my posts’ privacy settings?
  • Each post has its own privacy settings, which you can set to show to your Friends Only or Followers/Public.

  • Can I make changes to my post once it’s published?
  • Yes. Tap    on the upper right corner of your post. You can edit the caption, tag people, location and, change the privacy settings. Don’t forget to save your changes! You can also delete the post as you wish.

  • How do I share a post and to whom?
  • Simply tap    under a post. You can share it to your Board for your friends to see or forward it as a direct message or to a group chat.

    *If the post is public, anyone you forward it to can view it. However, if the post’s privacy setting is set to Friends Only, non-friends of that post’s owner will not be able to see it.

  • How do I report a post?
  • If you believe that a post is offensive and/or violates our Terms of Use, please report it to our team by going to the offending post and tapping Report this post.

  • How do you comment on a post?
    1. Go to a post.

    2. Click  bubble_comment.png  icon.

    3. Write your comment and hit send.png to post your comment.

  • How do you reply to a comment?
    1. Go to a post.

    2. Click  bubble_comment.png  icon, then click on “Reply”

    3. Write your reply and hit send.png to reply to a comment.

  • How do you like a post?
  • Go to a post then click  like_inactive.png  icon to like it. Or you can double tap the post to like it!

  • Why does it say post unavailable?
  • The post becomes unavailable when the post is deleted or when you don’t have permission to view it.

  • How can I add location to my post?
    1. Go to your “Board”, then click the upper right button.

    2. After making your post, you may tag your location by choosing “Location.” Then, search your location.

    3. Click “Done” then “Post.”

  • What posts appear on the Global?
  • The Global feed shows you different posts from different users in different parts of the world.

  • What posts appear on the Trending?
  • The Trending feed shows you the most hashtags used by users.

  • What posts appear on Popular?
  • The Popular feed shows the most likes comments, and shares from a post.

  • What posts appear on Fresh?
  • The Fresh feed shows you the newest and freshest posts worldwide.

    TAGS

  • How do I tag someone?
    1. Go to your “Board”, then click the upper right button.

    2. After making your post, you may tag your friend by choosing “People.” Search your friend and add them up. Remember that you can only tag up to 50 friends to your post.

    3. Click “Done” then “Post.”

  • How do I mention someone?
  • You can mention someone by using the “@” key then typing your friend’s name in the post section.

  • Who can I tag / Who can tag me?
  • You can only be tagged by your friends and only your friends can tag you.

  • How can I delete/untag myself from a post?
    1. Go the post that you were tagged.

    2. Click  post_ellipsis.png  that is found at the upper right corner of your post.

    3. Choose “Remove tag.”

    CHAT

  • What can I send to my friends?
  • You can send a direct message to your friends or create a Group Chat with a maximum of 50 members. You can send photos, 30-second videos, 1-minute audio recordings, contact cards of your friends, share posts from the Board and Discover, as well as links. You can also forward your messages to other conversations.

  • How do I send images to my friends?
  • Tap the icon on the conversation screen. You can send images captured by your camera or send images from your Album.

  • How do I send audio clips to my friends?
  • Tap and hold mic.png to record a maximum of a one-minute audio clip.

  • How do I send videos to my friends?
  • Tap  video.png  to record a video with a maximum of 5 minutes. You may also send videos from your Album.

  • How do I send a contact card to my friends?
  • Tap    and choose which friend’s contact card you want to send. When the user on the other end of the conversation taps the contact card, it will direct them to the contact’s EyesUP profile.

  • How do I delete a message?
  • Choose the message you want to delete then long press the message. A message will appear from the bottom. Choose “Delete Message.” Remember that messages from both ends will be deleted.

  • How do I delete a conversation?
  • Choose the conversation you want to delete, then long press the convo. A message will appear from the bottom. Choose “Delete.”

  • How do I mute a conversation?
  • Choose the conversation you want to mute, then long press the convo. A message will appear from the bottom. Choose “Mute.”

  • Can I call my friends?
  • Of course! Just tap the Phone or Camera icon on the top right of the conversation screen to do an audio call or a video call with your friends wherever you are in the world. You can also call your friends through your Friend’s list in the app.

  • What messages are on the Greetings section?
  • Messages from your Greetings Section are messages from your followers and or any EyesUP user.

  • I can’t reply to a conversation. What happened?
  • Check your internet connection.

    Update your EyesUP app: Make sure you are using the latest version of your EyesUP app.

    The user may have deactivated their account.

     

  • I created a Group Chat, but I can’t find it on Groups section. What happened?
  • A member from the group chat may have removed you.

  • If I share a person’s contact card to another friend, will the contact be notified?
  • No, the owner of the contact card you shared will not be notified when you send it to another person.

  • How to accept/decline a group chat request?
  • Yes, you may choose on accept_group_invite.png or ignore_group_invite.png on the request that was sent.

    SETTINGS

  • How do I change my password and mobile number?
    1. Go to your Account Settings.

    2. Tap Account Password to change your password.

    3. Input a new password and then hit “Confirm.”

  • How do I change my mobile number?
    1. Go to your Account Settings.

    2. Tap “Mobile Phone Number,” then “Change mobile number.”

    3. Type your new mobile number, then hit “Done.”

    *Please make sure that the mobile number associated with your EyesUp account is updated as this is the main channel for user verification.

     

    NOTIFICATIONS

  • What will I receive in my notifications?
  • You will be notified when someone follows you, likes, shares, or comments on your posts. You will also receive a notification when someone tags, mentions, or replies to comments on your post. You will also be notified whenever someone sends you a message.

  • I have too many notifications. Can I delete them?
  • Yes, you can clear your notifications by tapping the Menu icon on the upper right of your screen.

  • How to disable notifications?
    1. Go to the Settings page by tapping the Gear icon found at the bottom right of your EyesUP app.

    2. Choose Notification Setting, then click “Turn-Off Notification.”

    SEARCH

  • How can I find awesome stuff on EyesUP?
  • EyesUP has a powerful global search feature. Type a name or a keyword and it will give you related users, hashtags, posts, and show where you mentioned it in your existing messages.

  • Who are in my recent searches?
  • Your recent searches include any EyesUP user, hashtags and, keywords  that you may have searched using the app. You can also clear your recent searches by tapping “Clear history” from the search bar.

  • Who are in my suggested searches?
  • Your suggested searches are based on your recent searches and the top search result.

    ACCOUNT DEACTIVATION

  • How do I deactivate my account?
  • You can deactivate your account on your Account Settings. Deactivating your EyesUP account will remove all your profile information, posts, comments, and tags on the Board.

    Your posts shared by other users on their boards will no longer be available. Your name will also be removed on users’ lists of followers, following, and friends.

     

  • What happens to my messages when I deactivate my account?
  • After deactivating your EyesUP account, direct messages and conversation histories (including text, media attachments, and contact cards) are removed from both ends.

    However, messages you sent to group chats can still be seen by remaining group members. You can restore your profile, posts, and messages by logging back into EyesUP anytime.

     

    OTHERS

  • The app just crashed! What should I do?
  • Don’t worry! If your phone crashes, try to clear the app data first. For Android users, please follow the steps below:

    1. Go to Settings.

    2. In the Menu, find Apps/ Applications/App Management (depending on your device). Then, locate EyesUP.

    3. Tap on Storage. Then, tap "Clear Cache" and "Clear Data."

    For iPhone Users:

    1. Go to Settings.

    2. Find and tap Safari.

    3. Find and tap "Clear History and Website Data" at the bottom.

    4. A pop-up window will appear. Tap "Clear History and Data."

    If it still doesn’t work, please uninstall the app and reinstall it.
